A delightfully light and typically French film with Gillain as the sensuous young Veronique on holiday with her doting father (Depardieu). Their relationship becomes strained when she falls for a young lad and, in order to impress him, invents a web of lies, as girls are prone to do, including that her father is her sugar daddy. Depardieu must play the part of her shady lover for the ruse to work. Gentle and funny.
